The Massachusetts State Hockey Coaches Association announced Sunday morning their list of teams that will be under preliminary consideration for the Super Eight tournament, according to association president and Duxbury coach John Blake.

A total of 24 teams made the cut on the first round. These teams will be under observation over the final two weeks of the regular season by members of the MSHCA. The list can, and likely will, be altered in the coming weeks before the MSHCA board meets to submit its final ranked recommendation list of 12 teams to the MIAA Ice Hockey Committee, which will select the 2015 Super Eight tournament field on Feb. 21.
