January 16th, 2015

Sixth annual Coaches vs. Cancer Green Cup
This year the Duxbury and Marshfield High School and Youth Hockey Teams will be
participating in the 6th annual Green Cup on Monday January 19, 2015 (MLK Day). The
following is the schedule for youth and high school games at The Bog in Kingston:
Mite A game: 9:20 am
Squirt A game: 10:30 am
Pee Wee A game: 11:40 am
Junior Varsity game: 12:50 pm
Varsity game: 2:00 pm
Junior High game: 4:20 pm
One of the goals of The Green Cup is to take part in a community service project. Each
year the teams select a charity to benefit from the event. For the third year in a row the
game will be played under the title Coaches vs. Cancer and all proceeds from the game
will benefit The American Cancer Society. Long sleeve T-shirts will be sold in the
entrance of the rink for $15. 50/50 raffle tickets will be sold for $5 for one and $10 for
three tickets. Winner does not need to be present and will be drawn at end of the second
period of the Varsity game. Chuck a Pucks will be available for $5. This event will take
place at the end of the first period of the Varsity game and the 2 closest throws to the
target will get prizes. Each Youth Hockey Player is asked to make a $10 donation. This
can be given to their Youth Hockey Coach prior to the event.
Last year we were able to donate over $3000 To The American Cancer Society and this
year our goal is to beat that. Thank you in advance for your help in raising funds for a
wonderful cause! Following is the address for on-line donations:
