It is finally tournament time. I am previewing all of the brackets out so far, so let’s take a look at the D2 South bracket:

Favorites:

Canton: The Bulldogs only have one loss in their past two regular seasons, and it is to division 2 north power Lincoln-Sudbury. Canton walked through last year’s D2 south, but I do not think this year will be as easy.

Plymouth North: Plymouth North did not lose a game this year until January 18th, a 10-game winning streak to start the season. They hold solid wins over Duxbury, Scituate, and Whitman-Hanson.

Norwood: Norwood seems like a team destined for success in the playoffs. Most of their wins were by one or two goals, which will most likely be all of their playoff games. They play a solid schedule and should be ready for the playoffs.

Sleepers:

Bishop Feehan: 15 seeded Bishop Feehan has one of the hardest schedules in the D2 south. They competed well in the Catholic Memorial Christmas Tournament that featured teams from all over the country.

Scituate: 12 seeded Scituate is a team that plays a solid schedule all season long. They do not have any wins that really jump out to you, but their high level of competition will help them moving forward.

Best first round matchup:

#7 Dedham vs #10 Brookline: Both of these teams are hoping to make a run in the tournament. Brookline took the top seed in the D1 south tournament, Natick, to a one-goal game and squared off with Super 8 bound Framingham. Dedham finished the season with an impressive 13-4-3 record.
